Summer on Stage 2023: Technical Course
Summer on Stage provides the unique opportunity to develop performance and backstage skills in Scotland's leading producing theatre, followed by the opportunity to perform on the Lyceum's main stage - just one example of The Lyceum's dedication to developing Scotland’s considerable indigenous talents!
If you’re passionate about performing, want to learn about the technical aspects of theatre, or if you're just looking for a new challenge, then take a look at our groups below.
We offer a limited number of bursaries to support young people participating in Summer on Stage at The Lyceum. For information on bursaries please email.
Led by a Theatre professional and supported by Lyceum staff, this course is for anyone who is interested in working behind the scenes, making it all happen.
The first week will feature practical workshops and activities to get you learning and making friends, and in the second week participants will be allocated a role (usually lighting, sound or stage management) on either the Junior or Senior production. You'll then join rehearsals and take a practical backstage role during the performances.
Monday 10 - Saturday 22 July
10am - 4:30pm each day (not weekends, excluding Saturday 22 July)
