Acting through Song
In this new six-week in-person evening course at Guildhall School which combines contemporary acting and singing techniques, participants will delve into the world of musical theatre, pop and folk singing.
During this practical course, participants will workshop songs of their choosing, focusing on the singing or acting component introduced in each session. Vocal techniques taught will include vocal range, vocal qualities, and breath and support, and acting techniques will include analysing structure, emotion, character and story. The course will also cover holistic approaches such as mindfulness, meditation, and mental preparation for performance. This course is led by Guildhall alumnus Aled Pedrick, whose acting credits include Doctor Who (BBC) and Lewis (ITV), and is for anyone aged 18 and over, no experience is necessary.
Spaces are limited so early booking is encouraged.
