Theatre for Life, in collaboration with Beyond Reflections is seeking four Transgender+ actors to take part in an upcoming intergenerational verbatim theatre project that centres real stories, lived experiences, and the celebration of Trans+ history.

This project uses verbatim theatre techniques, drawing directly from interviews, conversations, and shared experiences. The performance will honour personal narratives while celebrating Trans+ resilience, heritage, and community across generations.

Who they're looking for:

• Transgender, non-binary, or gender-diverse actors
• Performers interested in working with real words, testimonies, and historical material
• Comfort with a collaborative, ensemble-based, and intergenerational rehearsal process
• Experience as a musician, singer, or vocalist is welcome but not essential
• Previous acting experience is welcome but not required — emerging performers are strongly encouraged to apply

Rehearsals start from 9th March - 17th August (Every Monday, excluding bank holidays ) 

Preview performance at Mayflower Studios: 29th and 30th August as part of Pride Southampton 

Theatre Tour: Two professional venues in November (Dates TBC)
