Filming Theatrical Monologues and Self-taping (with Wiebke Green)
Theatre can't exist without an audience. The pandemic threatened to bring the creative exchange between theatre makers and their audience to a halt, but artists reimagined theatre for the digital space, reinterpreting questions of "togetherness" and "liveness".
Director Wiebke Green will give an insight into her process on filmed monologues and critically acclaimed live-streamed shows which premiered during the pandemic.
This practical workshop will explore the techniques behind performing and filming theatrical monologues. Specifically, it'll interrogate how to keep the performer-audience relationship feeling immediate and alive while being remote.
