Make Music: Young People is the place where you’ll find fun classes, exciting bands and choirs to join, and individual tuition to help you create, perform and enjoy music with confidence.

Our classes, courses and ensembles put your love of music at the centre of everything you learn, and offers some incredible performance opportunities as your playing develops.

Applications are now open for our Foundation, Step Up, Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) and Ensemble Programmes.

- Foundation and Step Up

Age: 4 – 14

Foundation and Step Up programmes are an exciting way for young beginners to learn music and develop through lessons and playing together. Lay the Musical Foundations for lifelong love of music and step up to playing together in a group.

- Centre for Advanced Training

Age: 10 – 18

Audition required

The Centre for Advanced Training is for young people with a passion for music and the potential to take it further in a wide range of instruments, voice and music.

New for 2023: Our programme for songwriting and music production joins forces with the CAT for Making Tracks Advanced.

- Ensembles

Age: 10-19

Auditioned and Non-Auditioned

Our ensembles are led by superb performers and musicians, with guest artists and amazing performance opportunities offering unique experiences for young players. Sing or play in a wide range of styles and learn with others.
