Experience Opportunity

NT Connections: Company Workshop Auditions

Every year we bring together a group of fantastic young people to make our artsdepot Connections company to perform one of the National Theatre Connections plays. The company explore and rehearse the play with a professional director from January to April; and then perform the play at artdepot on our Studio Theatre stage!

“Connections is the National Theatre's annual, nationwide youth theatre festival. Each year the National Theatre commissions ten new plays for young people across the UK to perform.”

Who can get involved?

If you’re aged 13 – 19 and have an interest or curiosity in performing in a play, this is for you! You do not need to have any previous experience of performing to join our company.

How to get involved?

We will be holding free workshop auditions in December (you only need to come to one of them). This is an opportunity for us to meet each other and for you to get a taste of the process. These are on Tue 7 Dec and Tue 14 Dec, 5pm – 7pm at artsdepot. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Brigitte.

Why get involved?

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore and develop your performance skills, your confidence and get to know new people interested in the same thing.

What is the commitment?

Rehearsals are January - April and are every Tuesday evening from 5pm – 7.30pm, with some daytime rehearsals in half term and easter break.

What’s the cost?

It costs £95 to take part in the project (rehearsals and show). Discounts and subsidised places at £45 are available for those in receipt of Income Support or on low incomes (subject to availability). Subsidised places will need to be approved by our Programming & Participation Team, please email Brigitte to enquire.
