Masterclass are inviting applications for a three-month paid internship at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, West End as a Junior Theatre Technician.

This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for someone interested in electrics, woodwork, and/or carpentry. You will be working full time at the Theatre Royal Haymarket for three months, mentored by our in-house electrical and carpentry teams, and receiving support from the Masterclass team. During this 13-week internship you will learn and practise the skills needed to pursue a career backstage in theatre. You will gain in experience across many roles backstage, from carpentry to lighting, sound and rigging, with the option to focus on whichever skill interests you.

This is an entry level role, and therefore suitable for people who have no formal theatre training - you do not need any experience of working in a theatre to apply, but you must have relevant skills in carpentry / woodwork or electrics or sound, and you must have an interest in working in theatre or live events. You will receive appropriate skills training and a workplace reference for future employment.
