Prop Making: Intermediate (online)

Discover and learn the key skills required in prop making. You will have the chance to practise key techniques and gain an understanding of the requirements for further training and work in the industry.

Through a series of online workshops, pre-recorded videos and personal feedback sessions, you will make a lifelike puppet that will be based on a realistic brief. This will require you to work to scale and give you the opportunity to explore skills in sculpting, moulding, casting, painting and finishing techniques.

In a friendly and supportive environment, you will:

Create an industry-standard prop – a baby goat, suitable for a children’s show

Learn how to work with scale

Develop skills in sculpting, mould making, casting, painting and finishing techniques

Achieve a great understanding of the theory behind prop making and the crucial practical skills required to be a prop maker

This course is ideal for:

Anyone with a 3D making background

Anyone looking to further their knowledge in prop making

Tuesdays/Thursdays - starting Tuesday 17th November, 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Minimum age is 18 on the first day of the course. No upper age limit.
