Experience Opportunity

Self Made Series: Creative Facilitation

Whether you’re an illustrator, poet or music producer, this project is aimed at creatives who want to diversify their income by turning what they do into workshops!

As creatives we love what we do, it’s our passion and often our life’s purpose but sometimes it is at odds with the demands of earning an income. Creative Facilitation Training aims to address this. How can we turn our creative practise into workshops? Where do we go to deliver them and what needs to be considered and prepped for facilitating confidently and effectively?

Over the course of 4 sessions you will:

- Discover what lies at the heart of your practise

- Be introduced to other facilitators

- Try out facilitating techniques and experiment with a range of exercises

- Explore practical considerations of setting up and evaluating workshops

- Develop your own facilitation practice pathway

- Deliver your own workshop exercise as well as submit a lesson plan in the final week with feedback

This is an inclusive network of facilitators, where you can ask questions and share advice on best practices.

What will I get from taking part?

By the end of the project you will:

- Improve and develop your skills in facilitation

- Have learnt about the highlights and challenges of working as a facilitator

- Have had the chance to network with fellow creatives, building contacts and asking questions.

- Have facilitated your own micro teaching and written a lesson plan

- Developed an awareness of the practical elements of facilitating

- Develop your own facilitation practice pathway
