Our Writers Room is a brand-new initiative to help discover and nurture a new generation of playwrights and screenwriters.

Led by award-winning playwright and resident Marlowe Dramaturg, Leo Butler, our Writers Room is open to all ages and all backgrounds, with no experience necessary.

Have you ever wanted to write a play, but don’t know where to begin? Could you be the next Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Roy Williams, Sarah Kane or Christopher Marlowe?

Our Introduction To Playwriting courses begin in September and will run until December. Over 12 weeks you will learn the craft of playwriting, experiment with different forms and styles, and be guided through the practical steps of writing an original new play. And at the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to showcase your work.

17-25yrs Saturday mornings 10.30am-1.30pm

26yrs+ Wednesday evenings 6pm-9pm
