Experience Opportunity

Trainee Trustee

Theatre Deli’s Board is seeking a Trainee Trustee to join its Board of Trustees and learn from the way it works

Each year, Theatre Deli’s Board welcomes a Trainee Trustee to join its Board of Trustees and learn from the way it works.

One of our charitable goals is to widen participation in the arts and give underrepresented voices greater access to decision-making within the sector. This trainee trustee opportunity offers a seat at the table for anyone who is looking for a way in.

As with the vast majority of charity trustee roles, this is a voluntary opportunity, and there is no salary or fee. Some expenses, particularly travel and access costs will be covered in support of Board business, to be agreed in advance.

Requirements

The Trustees (also called Board Members) of any charity shape and govern its work.

We want to hear from you if you are interested in serving on charity boards - whether within the arts or not – or seeking to work within charities, even if that may be a way off for you.

We are not seeking people that already have significant governance experience.

You must be over 18 to be our Trainee Trustee.

Theatre Deli is fully committed to a more representative industry. We would love to see applications from: individuals from underrepresented ethnicities including Black and Asian people, working class people, D/deaf people, disabled and neurodivergent people, people of all genders and sexual identities, and people from all backgrounds currently underrepresented in the arts and charity sector.
