We are offering a one-week work experience placement to give a taste of how theatre works for up to 20 participants in the school Years 10-13

Dates:

Monday 30 June – Friday 4 July 2025

10am – 4pm each day at the Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond

Who is it for?

We are looking for students in Years 10 – 13 who are interested in working in the creative industries. Maybe you’re someone who’s done lots of acting or technical theatre or maybe you really love art, reading or film. Most importantly, you’re open to discovering more about how different parts of a theatre function and are keen to work with likeminded young people.

What does the placement involve?

In this placement, you will:

• Learn about the wide range of jobs within theatre
• Meet like-minded young people and industry professionals
• Take part in workshops and tasks set by departments such as Marketing, Finance, Production & Technical, Producing & Programming, Community & Development
• Work as a group to present your learnings to OT staff at the end of the week
