Thinking about applying for our Young Playwrights Award, but want some support with your play?

This Easter Holiday, we are hosting a free, one-off playwriting workshop to support entry to the Young Playwrights Award.

When: 10am-1pm, Tuesday 15 April 2025

This workshop is designed to help you write a play to enter to the Young Playwrights Award (deadline 2 May 2025). The workshop will be led by a professional Royal Court playwright and members of the Royal Court team.

There will be workshop exercises and activities to get you started, and an opportunity to meet and chat with other young writers and share your ideas. There will also be writing time, for you to focus on getting your play written, with individual support from the Royal Court team.

We would encourage you to come to the workshop with some ideas, and maybe even some writing, if you have started work on your play already.

Cost: Free, but spaces are limited and you need to book by emailing the address below.

You will be sent a permissions form to complete and return.
