We are hugely excited to announce our very first writers group dedicated to young people from Bradford.

The Young Writers Studio is a free opportunity open to young people aged 14 to 19 who are interested in writing for performance. No experience in writing or performance is necessary, the Writers Studio will be about exploring new ideas and learning to shape the things you have to say about the world in your own voice.

The Young Writers Studio will be eight, fortnightly sessions and will take place at Kala Sangam Arts Centre on Wednesday evenings from 18:30 to 20:00 on the following dates:

8th November

22nd November

6th December

(Dates from January TBC)

The sessions will be led by writer and theatre artist Kerry Wright along with guest writers from the worlds of theatre and TV. Sessions will be a fun, friendly and welcoming way to learn new writing skills and different ways to tell stories.

Access Fund: We have an access fund which could pay for taxis for a young person to come to youth theatre if transport is a barrier.

Any young person aged between 14-19 from Bradford or surrounding areas with an interest in writing for performance, telling stories and meeting other people who share those interests.
