Training Opportunity

BA (Hons) Performing Arts

At BRICTT, we understand that individuality is key and that’s why we offer a bespoke training program so you can train as creative artist as well as an entrepreneur. In an industry where all three disciplines of singing, dancing and acting are of equal importance across many genres, our approach will ensure that successful graduates leave with the necessary attributes to exploit a wide range of employment opportunities.

Alongside core training hours in chosen disciplines, every Friday we invite a whole host of new industry professionals and experts in their fields to host workshops and masterclasses in everything from aerial silks to stand-up comedy, R & B vocals to Meisner. Here are just a few to try:

• Circus and Aerial Skills

• How to act like a writer

• TV presenting

• Spoken Word

• Acting for Film (partnered with Brighton Film School)

• Heels commercial

• Stage combat and stunt

• Parkour

• Latin Jazz

• Recording studio sessions

• Breaking workshops

At BRICTT, we’re fully committed to creating an environment that is both nurturing, inspirational and authentic. We want our students to enjoy a unique experience where you continue to be self-motivated, confident and flexible as you grow into the best possible version of yourself. In order to sustain a career in the performing arts it is essential that creatives are equipped, both mentally and physically, to face the challenges that they will inevitably encounter as they enter the business. Students are instructed in the principle of strategic intervention, which is a process aimed not only at solving problems, but also at expanding the capacity for happiness and developing mental resilience.

HOW TO APPLY

You can apply to study BRICTT’s BA (Hons) in Performing Arts by requesting an audition. To do so please call our Admissions Team on 01273 603333 or go to brictt.co.uk/apply. A UCAS submission is also required.

All applicants will be required to attend an audition and demonstrate their ability in dance, drama and singing. We’re not expecting you to be proficient in all three – just a bit of star quality!

Key members of BRICTT’s visiting faculty, from the West End and TV and entertainment industry, will work with you during a masterclass workshop on the morning of your audition. Following the workshop, you go on to perform your individual monologues, songs and interview with core faculty. We believe this gives you the best chance of showcasing your ability and talent, whilst giving you a real taste of BRICTT’s training and helps you start to make industry connections from the word go!

In-line with the BRICTT ethos of affordable training, we DO NOT charge for auditions and included is the free professional workshop!
