This one-year course provides hands-on practical training for a backstage career in theatre and related industries.

You will gain a foundation of skills in a variety of technical departments and backstage roles. These can include; lighting, sound, stage and production management. The course also explores production Health and Safety, which is essential to the backstage running of any production and live event.

Alongside our experienced teaching faculty, you will be introduced to practitioners from across the industry who provide additional insights into the variety of careers open to you and the skills and experience your future employers will be looking for.

You need to be 16+ to enrol onto this course. You will be invited for an interview - we interview everyone who applies for the course. There are no educational requirements needed, we decide purely based on your talent and spirit.
