The Bush Theatre's Young Company is designed for young artists aged between 18 and 25 who are interested in exploring theatre and live performance as a career, but with no need to already have extensive experience. It is not just for actors or writers - all sorts of creatives are encouraged to apply.
This group is for storytellers, particularly for people who might not know they are one yet.
Workshops will take place weekly at the Bush on Thursday evenings 6:30-9pm, will provide opportunities to develop your skills with the Bush team and make work for our stages.
There are 3 stages to the process of making our Young Company:
1) The application form has some written parts and the option to share a video (max. 2 mins in length) which can be a monologue, a story from your life, a track, some writing or just a bit about yourself. It's totally up to you!
2) We then hope to meet about 100 people across 4 group workshops here at the Bush which will be a chance for you to get to know us and us to get to know you.
3) We will then invite about 30 people back for a recall where we will continue to get to know you and see your work in small groups.
If we have more applications than spaces, we will be prioritising meeting people who are based in West London and aren't currently/haven't been in formal drama training.
Applications can be submitted via written, video or audio submission. If you are submitting a video or audio application, make sure you select the option.
Deadline for completing this form is Monday 5 May at 12pm. We aim to let you know about the workshops w/c 19 May. The group workshops will take place on 6-7:30pm & 8-9:30pm on 27 May & 29 May and the recalls will be on Monday 9 June.
If you have any questions or need any support completing the form, please email.
