Experience Opportunity

London Borough of Culture Internships

Fancy working in the arts and culture sector? If you're aged 18 - 25 and live in Wandsworth why not apply to be a London Borough of Culture intern!

This 6-month internship in a Wandsworth-based arts and culture organisation is designed to provide an individual who has an interest in arts and culture with the experience and training to launch a successful career. The internships will run from 15 September - 13 March and be paid at London Living Wage. The programme is funded as part of Wandsworth’s year as the Mayor of London's Borough of Culture.

Applicants will have the chance to choose your top two preferences of art forms between dance, film, theatre, music and community art.

Wandsworth Council will complete initial application checks and a first round of interviews. Applicants successful in this first round will then be matched up with the relevant Wandsworth-based arts and culture organisation based on their art form preferences for shortlisting and a second interview.

Priority will be given to those who are:

  • Not in education, employment, or training (NEET)
  • In receipt of Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
  • Disabled, d/Deaf, neurodivergent or have a mental-health condition.
  • From an under-represented group, including those who are ethnically diverse, LGBTQAI+ and care-experienced
