In this 90 minute interactive workshop at our immersive theatre venue Punchdrunk Enrinchment Stores, pupils step through a door to another world…the magical home of The Storytelling Society. 

Our KS2 Oracy Workshop: The Storytelling Society is a unique experience where immersive theatre meets a creative learning workshop. By taking a child out of their traditional school environment and using our immersive learning techniques, we know pupils make surprising leaps in their learning. 

Your class will explore a richly tactile space, full of curious objects from the antique to the extraordinary. You will meet two characters who need help finding their voice. Throughout this highly interactive session, the children collaborate with these ‘in-role’ facilitators and will be prompted to use their speaking, listening and communication skills. They will leave feeling empowered and energised, with new skills and confidence to take back into the classroom.

At Punchdrunk Enrichment, we provide the perfect environment to bring out the inner storyteller in every learner, supercharging your pupils’ oracy skills. This workshop has been developed inclusively with provision for SEND children built in from the start.

Throughout the course of our KS2 Oracy Workshop: The Storytelling Society, pupils will:

• Develop their oracy skills.
• Gain confidence in expressing ideas creatively.
• Build listening skills and value of other’s perspectives.
• Participate in spoken collaboration as a problem-solving tool.
• Work together towards a collective outcome.
