Perfect for playwrights at any stage of their careers, our Playwrights Club offers the chance to join a local writing community and receive support and feedback on a play in development.

At monthly sessions you’ll be able to share and discuss a script you’re working on, as well as take part in creative exercises designed to fire your imagination and support your writing. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your work at Play, Pizza, Pint: Shorts Showcase event in February 2026.

Playwrights Club is free to join and open to everyone aged over 16. Tickets are pay what you can. You will be able to select from either a £0, £5 or £10 ticket. Alternatively, you can use the donation box to select a custom amount. Your donations will help to ensure that our engagement and participation programme remain free and open to all.

All sessions take place at the Eastern Angles Centre.

Each session will be hybrid with the option to join via Zoom or in person. We are committed to supporting artists based in or from East Anglia, but given our region is the size of Wales we know not everyone will be able to attend in person.

Do you know someone in your school or community group who would like to perform at the Fringe? Do you have a piece of theatre, poetry, circus, comedy, dance or small acoustic music acts you could perform? Or something else entirely?

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get on stage on the bustling High Street at the heart of the festival, amid street performers, human statues and the Fringe-going crowd. Our Community Stage is located by the Mercat Cross on the High Street, near St Giles Cathedral.

Each slot on the stage is 30 minutes and must include all your set-up, performance and take down. Let us know if you’d like longer, and we will see what we can do. Please note that we have restrictions on loud instruments such as most drums and percussion instruments on the stage, and we can supply more information on this when you register your interest and tell us about your proposed act.

Zoo Co is keen to introduce more deaf and/or disabled people to the practicalities of being a Trustee with an arts organisation

We recognise that volunteer Trusteeships aren't always accessible to deaf and disabled people, so we've set up this programme as an experiment in changing that.

We'd like to offer two people the chance to observe each of our next two Board meetings, supported by our new Board Support Worker.

£100 per Board meeting (approx 0.5 days of work across 2 weeks, per Board date)

Dates: 6th May 6-8PM and 12th Aug 6-8PM

Location: Central London - meetings are usually held at the National Theatre (Central London) in person, though people can join remotely as needed.

You can apply to observe both meetings, or just one (ie. between 2 and 4 people will be selected to take part in this work). Please indicate in your application which dates you’re able to do.

We hope the Studio will be a home for playwrights of all levels of experience, helping us to connect and making a range of opportunities accessible in a joined-up, sustained writing package.

If you become a member of the Studio (it’s completely free!) you can access:

Tangle’s Artistic Director Anna Coombs started WOVEN in 2023 as a safe space for African, Caribbean and Global Majority creatives living in Swindon and the surrounding areas to meet and connect as an artist-led community.

The WOVEN network offers opportunities for peer-led meetings, soft skills training and practical theatre workshops, social events, and sharing projects and working practices. Our hope is to build a community where members with diverse skillsets can connect, form working relationships and support each other.

WOVEN meetings take place in Swindon and Southampton.

WOVEN is free to join. To find out more, please email Associate Producer Stefan Kwame Boakye at the address below.
