Camp America offers a paid summer opportunity to live and work at an American summer camp for 9–12 weeks, with performing arts and creative roles available across camps in the USA. This is more than just work experience - it’s a chance to use your creative skills while living the full summer camp life!
Creatives from all backgrounds are placed in roles where they can teach, lead and inspire young people through acting, singing, dance, music, technical theatre and production, while also being part of a wider camp community. Alongside your role, you’ll take part in classic camp activities, build international friendships and experience everyday life in the USA. While we work with specialist theatre and performing arts camps, performing arts roles are available across many different camps, not just specialist ones.

Homegrown is Nottingham Playhouse’s pre-professional theatre artist programme, designed to support young adults who are keen to work professionally in the theatre industry.
A professional rehearsal process leading up to a Studio theatre performance in July. Following a weekly rehearsal schedule, you will be offered professional direction at Nottingham Playhouse.

Free creative writing workshops for Autistic writers aged 18+ in the North of England (Derby and Nottingham included).
Join Gemma Lees and Via MacNab for a series of twice-a-month creative writing workshops. Workshops take place online for 1.5 hours at a time and are 100% free. The National Theatre are currently recruiting for a Wigs, Hair and Makeup (WHAM) Apprentice to join their in-house team on a 27-month fixed-term contract.
The Wigs, Hair and Make-up Department at the National Theatre makes and applies all wigs, facial hair, special effects Makeup and blood effects used at the NT. They also undertake all barbering and hair processing requirements during the run of shows. They are thus closely involved with directors and designers, supporting them and realising their design concepts.
You will also learn about the vital role collaboration and communication play in the creative design process and how to work closely with people in a time-pressured and dynamic environment. This apprenticeship is for those with a passion for theatre who haven’t yet had experience of working in professional theatre.
Salary: £30,784 per annum, pro rata (£592 per week) based on London Living Wage.

A 12-month paid career development opportunity for emerging creative professionals ages 18–25.
Creative Industry Placement is a 12-month career development opportunity that provides professional pathways into the creative industries, with a strong focus on supporting underrepresented talent. This placement offers five creative participants ages 18-25 with hands-on experience working in an arts organisation, building insight into how a creative business is run. Roles will range from day-to-day management through to programming and operations.

Lighthouse is recruiting two enthusiastic and driven Young Producers for its 2026 programme. A free-to-access work placement, the course will provide on-the-job experience of producing events as part of Poole Pride, as well as the Breakin’ Convention festival, and other events scheduled for the Spring season.
