Zoo Co is keen to introduce more deaf and/or disabled people to the practicalities of being a Trustee with an arts organisation
We recognise that volunteer Trusteeships aren't always accessible to deaf and disabled people, so we've set up this programme as an experiment in changing that.
We'd like to offer two people the chance to observe each of our next two Board meetings, supported by our new Board Support Worker.
£100 per Board meeting (approx 0.5 days of work across 2 weeks, per Board date)
Dates: 6th May 6-8PM and 12th Aug 6-8PM
Location: Central London - meetings are usually held at the National Theatre (Central London) in person, though people can join remotely as needed.
You can apply to observe both meetings, or just one (ie. between 2 and 4 people will be selected to take part in this work). Please indicate in your application which dates you’re able to do.

Throughout the programme, you will have the opportunity to build a professional network and receive support to critically engage with your practice in order to transform your creative identity.
It will also help you enhance your skills for freelance work, employment with creative agencies or further academic study, while expanding your professional network.
This is a flexible programme, where you’ll work alongside RCS lecturers and industry experts, as well as our network of national and international partners.
The MA is designed to integrate with your existing arts practice and includes a significant amount of student-led learning. It will be complemented by intensive residencies at the beginning and end of the programme, as well as online delivery, one-to-one support, and peer group learning.
This course will provide you with the opportunity to explore, develop and test your creativity within a qualification structure which is stimulating, demanding and supportive. It will offer you an excellent opportunity to develop all-round and transferable skills in all aspect of the make-up industry.
You will explore SFX, Prosthetics, Stage Make-Up and Hair, Period Make-Up and Hair, Body Art, Fashion and Fantasy. Alongside these specialisms you will also work on both small and large scale productions throughout the year, such as musicals and plays to design and realise the make-up and hair designs.
This will support your experience and expertise when planning and executing your Final Major Project, where you take on ownership and responsibility of managing the success of a collaborative performance.

MUTI provides accessible pathways into dynamic careers in Events and Live Arts through paid apprenticeships training with top-end employers in the South West region.

These pathways are tailored for emerging Directors, Choreographers, Musical Directors, Designers, Lighting Designers, Stage Managers, Wardrobe Assistants and Technicians aged 16 to 23 who are in training or recently graduated from Higher Education.
Applications are open for 2025. There is £25 application fee which gives access to preparatory online sessions, offering skill building and group mentorship. Following these sessions you will have the opportunity to apply for a specific role on a production.
