Artist Educator Traineeship 2025/26

Applications for the annual Artist Educator Traineeship are now open!

Bow Arts invites applications for the 9th year of the Artist Educator Traineeship. This is a paid opportunity and is designed for applicants who are passionate about arts education, would like to gain skills and experience working in schools, and are currently underrepresented in the arts sector.

The Bow Arts Artist Educator Traineeship provides four artist trainees, who are either in the early stages of their career or would like to shift the focus of their practice towards working in education settings, with the opportunity to gain experience and develop skills to equip them to deliver arts education projects within schools.

On successfully completing the programme, Artist Educator Trainees will be added to Bow Arts pool of Artist Educators and will be offered future roles as Artist Educators delivering projects in schools.

Requirements

In order to be eligible for this opportunity, you must:

• Be domiciled in the UK
• Have or be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check
• Identify as being currently underrepresented in the arts industry. People currently underrepresented
in the arts include:

-- People from Black, Asian, traveller, mixed heritage or other global majority backgrounds
-- People who face barriers due to mental health issues and or physical health, disability, sensory impairment, learning disabilities, neurodivergence
-- People from lower socio economic or working-class backgrounds.
