Are you interested in directing theatre within community engagement?
This intensive day workshop is to equip emerging directors with the practical tools, confidence, and ethical awareness needed to work in community and socially engaged settings. Through their one-day workshop, you will develop an understanding of culturally responsive directing practice rooted in care, collaboration, and artistic excellence.
In this intensive you will:
- Develop an understanding of what it means to direct theatre within community engagement.
- Learn practical directing and facilitation techniques tailored to diverse groups.
- Build a toolkit for managing group dynamics, access needs, and emotional well-being.
- Gain a clearer sense of their personal directing values and leadership style.
