This is a four-year version of our very popular BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Screen course, with an integrated foundation year. It is the perfect route to help you develop your skills and self-confidence needed before you embark on Year 1 of your degree course, designed over 3 terms, is designed to enable students to achieve their potential as an actor at the start of their journey.

Reflection on professional practice is an empowering aspect of the student experience and in the third year there is the opportunity to write your dissertation on the subject that matters most to you.
In addition, there is the possibility of access to the PPA Agency, which has enviable industry links and may promote graduates into the Acting world with access to agents, casting directors and potential employers. Where possible, we encourage students to develop industry links via public performances, auditions, work-based learning opportunities and the Showcase.
Whether your ambitions are on stage or backstage, Theatre, Acting & Performance at Worcester is all about practical work. You learn theory through practice - in a wide range of venues, including our own drama studios, other local arts or theatre venues, unusual spaces such as nightclubs or disused churches, festivals, outdoor spaces and gardens. If you choose to, you can also have a work placement with a theatre, school or production company, or work within modules with youth or community groups, such as people with learning disabilities
As well as developing your acting skills, devising or writing your own performances and staging existing plays, you'll also cover the technical and practical side of the theatre experience, learning how to rig a light, for example. Furthermore, your wider study of the subject can prepare you for a wide range of careers alongside one in theatre (acting, directing, writing or technical theatre), such as teaching, or youth and community work.

Our Musical Theatre curriculum provides a complete practical training experience for students interested in performance. Based at the Millennium Studios in London, the course’s core disciplines are dance, singing and acting, with a focus on excellence in Musical theatre practice.
You will gain high-level skill sets in practice to shape your performance abilities as well as your contextual understanding, preparing you for work, immediately upon graduation. All of our students are taught by highly-experienced industry professionals who are passionate about teaching the next generation of performers. The BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre is an innovative three year course that offers students the chance to develop diverse professional technical and performance skills.
