This course is a stepping stone into employment, university or dance school. As part of the course, you will become part of our in-house performance company, Fleet Street Studios, leading and managing all projects.
You will have the opportunity to take on performance roles in a variety of shows, including musicals, ballet, dance, music gigs, fashion shows and conferences. You will also have the chance to undertake work experience with reputable providers which will help you build up your industry contacts.
We also work with professional performers and companies within the industry to provide excellent work experience and workshop opportunities for dancers and actors. These include Amy Dowden from Strictly Come Dancing, Vanhulle Dance Theatre, Ellis Theatre Arts, Flexus Dance Company, Imagine Ballet, Scare Acting, One Dance UK, National Adventure Farm, Alton Towers, Derby Theatre and The Brewhouse.

You'll focus on both the creative and the technical side of digital and creative media, including 3D modelling for games and animation, video editing and post-production, programming, web design, concept art production, group project management, and business development. Plus you'll have opportunities to use modern game engines and other professional-standard software.

This Level 1 course is an exciting, new qualification that gives you a great opportunity to develop a variety of skills used in IT, media production, and the creative industries in general. The design of the course allows you to experience art, multimedia, and IT, as well as improve your literacy and numeracy skills.
The Creative Media Production HND further develops students’ practical skills and project management skills in preparation for a career in the creative media industry. Participants will use professional standard equipment and software to produce a substantial portfolio of media projects with emphasis on student conceptualisation, design and execution from the ground up through to completion.
The course emphasises practical studio production skills whilst further developing a creative and professional approach to media production in a more challenging environment with opportunities for live briefs working with local organisations and businesses.
