On successful completion of this course, you can progress to study music degrees at university. You could also progress to careers such as a Song Writer, Performer, Recording Artist, Musical Director, Musical Arranger, Music Teacher, Live Events Manager.

The UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Music Performance has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of music performance disciplines.

The qualification has been designed for students who have an interest in music performance and who wish to explore and extend this interest via a full-time, immersive learning experience.

You will study the following units:

Applications are open for the fourth cohort of Diploma in Creative Producing (DipCP). The 16-week course will begin on the 20th February 2023 and run until 9th June 2023.

The CGO Institute DipCP programme is for aspiring creative producers of theatre and live performance. The course is cloud-based and designed for up to 12 practitioners who will work together and learn from a range of established UK and International arts professionals.

- The DipCP is open to creative producers working in all performing arts including: opera, live music, dance, circus, live art, musical theatre, and festivals.
- Many producers work across a portfolio of projects which may also encompass visual arts, publishing, and film. The course will not focus on these areas, but the skills taught will be transferable.
- The course is cloud-based, meaning it is run online via Zoom. This allows participants to participate from their own homes/work bases. Our hope is that participants will also meet ‘on the ground’ where possible.
- The course will be led by Chris Grady. Sessions, workshops and Q&As will be delivered by our Faculty, who all share a similar passion and vision for the role of the Creative Producer.
- The CGO Institute will help each participant find a mentor and local network. We support our students to build a creative network in their local area and specialism(s).

This diploma is devised for talented students of 16 years and over who want to be successful in Musical Theatre and is a level six qualification validated by Trinity College, London.

The aim of the course is to develop our students into triple threats that can make it in the West End. We instil the versatile and dedicated work ethic into our students so they are able to achieve in the extremely demanding musical theatre industry.

We make sure students get the attention they deserve by making sure none of our class sizes exceed 16 students. This works in tandem with our intensive, exciting and extensive teaching of singing, acting and dancing.
Students will have weekly performance workshops, audition preparation and career development sessions. Every week students will take part in individual singing lessons that will develop their technique and repertoire. Keeping fit is an important aspect of performing at the highest level we ensure you have an excellent level of health and fitness through diagnostics, body conditioning, Pilates and nutrition sessions.

Expert teaching staff, guest lecturers and visiting directors ensure you continuously strive to meet your personal challenges. To help you maintain your high standards, individual progress is closely monitored. Regular tutorials and assessments ensure you receive continual feedback and support.

Set, lighting, sound, props, costume. These are a few of the considerations required to put together a production. The Production Arts Extended Diploma course programme focuses on developing the broad range of skills necessary for progression to work or further study at degree level in technical theatre. The qualification has been designed to meet the needs of the creative and cultural industries.

This course looks at each of these and more develop skills that are transferable from an arena sized concert or a theatrical production all the way to small scale touring theatre. Employment has grown alongside technology in this area and so there are job and higher education opportunities for students who complete this course of study.

The emphasis is on practical skills underpinned by theoretical understanding and industry standard health and safety practices. Much of the work will be in support of the wide range of performances in theatre, dance and music that take place each year as well as having opportunity to speak to industry professionals, take part in production workshops and visit local and regional theatres. Each project you complete is designed to be realistic to what you would expect in industry.

In addition to your main programme, you will also engage in activities to develop your English, maths and employability skills.

RSL Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Creative Arts (Actor Musician Pathway).

Each term has a different focus and tutors - giving you the chance to stretch and improve your skills. It is intensive and requires a full commitment. The 2021 year ends in a big public show at the Wilde Theatre in Bracknell (July 2021 is Disney's Beauty and the Beast). You will also appear in an acted play for National Theatre Connections (Bracknell and London theatres), and up to three additional full scale productions (Easter, Summer and Pantomime) with South Hill Park (subject to audition).

The course specialises in Musical Theatre for actors who play instruments, but the course is blended and offers Acting, Singing, Screen Acting, Dance, Performing with instruments and technical aspects. You will share many classes with our Musical Theatre and Producers pathways, but also have classes unique to your specialism.

Taught by industry professionals including Sam Spencer Lane - West End choreographer and former head of musical theatre at Mountview and Jonathan Ashby Rock - CEO of Hounslow Arts Centre. We will prepare you for the next level of your training!

You will have one to one weekly meetings with a mentor tutor to help you apply to the right course for your next stages, and arrange real work experience. You will have support with UCAS, and preparation for auditions for any creative university courses.
