Front Line Lambeth gives 16–30 year olds the opportunity to discover more about careers in the arts and culture sector, and develop key transferable skills through paid placements in Front Of House and hospitality roles.

Participants will watch an Old Vic production, shadow industry professionals and take on important roles within various Lambeth creative organisations such as Beaconsfield Gallery, BFI, South Bank Centre and Streatham Space Project.

Front Line gives 16–30 year olds the opportunity to discover more about careers in theatre and develop key transferable skills through paid placements with our Front Of House team.

Participants will watch one of our productions, shadow various members of staff and take on important roles welcoming patrons to our theatre.

Our advanced group for ages 14+ focuses more on developing theatre skills, including acting, writing and directing. Participants have the opportunity to devise a piece of theatre each term, perform in different venues, and go on theatre trips to watch professional productions.

This term we are working with professional theatre makers from Immediate Theatre and focusing on a number of performance skills to equip new actors with the experience needed as an ‘Introduction to the Industry' including: Acting For Stage, Acting For Screen, Voiceover Work and will conclude in a showcase.

Royal & Derngate's Saturday Youth Theatre groups are back!
Act One (8-10yrs) – Saturdays 10.30am til 12pm

Act Two (11-13yrs) – Saturdays 12.30pm til 2pm

Join our Saturday Youth Theatre groups and get creative! Be in a fun and friendly environment with a focus to increase confidence in theatre skills such as script-writing, developing characters and creating your own theatre. You'll be working with the brilliant theatre professional, Georgia Tillery-Randak and will be working towards creating your very own historical, theatrical fun theatre tour of Royal & Derngate.

This group is £70 per term. Limited bursary placements available.

This training programme is ideal for those who might like to take their first steps understanding how to run and support community groups and workshop leaders.

Our training includes sessions: Leading and Supporting Sessions, Safeguarding, Best Theatre Practices & Techniques and much more!

This training course is free. Travel expenses and paid placements are available.

I've also been a talent manager for over 10 years as the managing director of Reflections Talent Agency. As part of the talent agency, I have also been a casting director for companies; before that, I was a working actor!

OV Backstage offers paid placements on an Old Vic production to six 18–25 year olds from underrepresented backgrounds in the arts.

Participants shadow an industry professional across 15 paid sessions and get hands-on experience in one of the following disciplines:

- Costume
- Production Management
- Set
- Sound
- Stage Management

The project culminates with a networking session to help participants take the next steps in their careers.

Each participant will receive a fee for taking part in the programme. Additional support for travel costs is available if required.
