The two-term L2 Certificate in Music Technology focuses on the development of music production skills. You will work on production technique for computer based electronic music as well as developing skills in recording live performers. This is an accredited course, meaning upon successful completion you will gain a L2 Certificate in Music Technology. The course runs on-site all-day Thursday. You will be expected to do independent learning between weekly sessions.

This course equips you with skills to make authentic & powerful solo performance work. It is an in depth look at traditional stories and contemporary poetry: how they are created, performed & received. With a focus on applied storytelling and critical thinking, you will also acquire skills in facilitation, festival curating and producing.
Focusing on using folklore, myth & poetry to create new work, you will learn the art of solo performance. Led by internationally recognised storyteller, Jan Blake, you will benefit from industry placements with professional practitioners.
Learn a wide range of skills whilst discovering how the resilience that you build as a storyteller & spoken word artist will prepare you for the many diverse spaces in which this work can be applied, as a tool for transformation, beyond the stage.

In partnership with Wiltshire College and University Centre, we deliver Level 2 and Level 3 Performing and Production Arts Course accredited by UAL.

Students are trained at Wiltshire Creative venues, spending two days a week learning in the professional environments with further sessions taking place in the well-equipped college campus studio. There is the opportunity to take a Performing or Production Arts pathway.

How will I learn?
This is a vocational course, where students work on five practical projects throughout the year, presenting in the Salberg, Salisbury Arts Centre, and on a schools' tour.
Students see a variety of productions throughout the year and often partake in talks and workshops from Wiltshire Creative staff and visiting practitioners, including the Artistic and Associate Directors, Production and Company Stage Managers.

A Level Music Production explores how music is written and then shaped in the studio, covering a wide range of areas from the foundations of sequencing, recording and composing through to mixing music in a professional environment.
You will be introduced to sequencing using Logic Pro on Apple iMac digital audio workstations, producing your own multi-track recording using a high-quality analogue mixing desk in one of our outstanding studios.
