This course is taught by tutors and visiting actors and directors with a wealth of experience and expertise.
This postgraduate course provides an apprentice performance year for students who have completed their training elsewhere.
It is possible to specialise in classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz dance or musical theatre. Applicants must demonstrate the skills and aptitudes necessary to work in a ‘professional’ context, as the course aims to provide aspirant performers with relevant experience and a portfolio of performance work, so that on graduation they can audition successfully for professional companies.
The London Studio Centre Diploma is a broadly based full-time dance training programme, which nonetheless supports specialisation and celebrates the breadth and diversity of professional opportunities that now exist in the dance world.
The curriculum is structured to run in parallel with the degree programme, with Diploma students enjoying the same opportunities to study with professional directors and choreographers in the creation and presentation of new work in professional venues.
